## What is Garuda-Defi?

Garuda-Defi is an automated market maker (AMM) built on Terra Classic (LUNC) blockchain which enables permissionless DeFI features and on-chain order book created by Garuda Universe Validator.&#x20;

Garuda DeFi offers a few key advantages :&#x20;

* **Faster and cheaper**: Garuda DeFi leverages the efficiency of the LUNC blockchain to achieve transactions magnitudes faster than Ethereum and gas fees which are a fraction of the cost.
* **Permissionless DeFI features:** Any user or project can create permissionless trading pools, factory token, staking contracts, launchpads, P2P (Peer to peer) and many DeFI features.
* **On-chain order book :** Allows the traders to enter the market with the target price set by limit orders using smart contracts.
